TNPSC (Notification No. 11/2026, Advertisement No. 747) is filling a tentative 6,574 Group IV vacancies, including VAO 291, Junior Assistant (non-security) 2,610 plus other codes, Typist 856 plus other codes, Junior Assistant (Accounts) 422, Steno-Typist Grade III 209 plus other codes, Bill Collector, Tax Collector, Revenue Assistant, Forest Watcher and more. Applications began on 6 October 2026 and the last date was extended from 5 November to 8 November 2026 (11:59 PM); the correction window is 9 to 11 November 2026. The OMR exam is on 10 January 2027 (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM). Most posts need SSLC (Class 10) pass; typist and steno posts also need typewriting or shorthand certificates and some posts need degrees or diplomas. Age as on 1 July 2026: generally 18 to 30 years (VAO and Forest Watcher minimum 21; Executive Officer Grade IV 25 to 35), with category relaxation. Pay is mostly Level 3, 5, 8 or 10 depending on the post. Fee: One Time Registration Rs 150 and exam fee Rs 100, subject to exemptions.
