AFMS has announced Short Service Commission (SSC) Medical Officer vacancies for 2026: 120 posts (90 for male and 30 for female candidates). A short notice was issued on 31 October 2026; online applications are expected to open on 9 November 2026 and the last date is 18 November 2026. The detailed notification is expected around 7 November 2026, so the apply link may become active only then. Eligibility: MBBS (NMC recognised) with completed rotating internship; PG degree or diploma holders are also eligible; permanent registration with a State Medical Council or NMC is required. Age as on 31 December 2026: MBBS candidates below 30 years and PG candidates below 35 years. Pay: Level 10B, rank Captain, basic Rs 61,300 per month plus Military Service Pay Rs 15,500 per month and other allowances as applicable. Application fee Rs 200 for all categories (online).
